This is yearly celebration at Madurai (in South India) popularly known as Madurai Chitirai Festival. This film documents the visit of Kalazhagar (folk form of Lord Vishnu) visitng his sister's marriage Goddess Meenakshi (Form of Shakthi) to Lord Sundareshwarar (form of Shiva).
He arrives on the southern bank of river Vaigai and the news of his sister’s marriage having happened reaches him. He is disappointed for not being at his sister's wedding and turns back without crossing the River Vaigai.
This film documents complete journey of Lord Kalazhagar from his Hill Abode Azhagar Malai and his travels across Madurai town and his return to his abode after 10 days of celebrations.
